Paramedic for 25 years of EMS experience ranging from 911 communication, field 911 EMS, operational management and education. Certified TxDSHS EMS instructor/coordinator for 23 years. Managing Director with EMTS since 1996.

Tim Hartman, DO Program Medical Director

Over 42 years practicing emergency room physician. EMS Medical Director experience for large and small metroplex are EMS/Fire systems.


Chris Cothes Advance Level Course Coordinator

EMT-P Over 28 years EMS/Fire active experience. EMS instructor/coordinator for over 25 years. Over 20 years’ experience as a medical control senior administrator to over 10 EMS systems. Currently; paramedic, fire fighter, battalion chief, PHTLS faculty.

Joseph Arhens EMT- Basic Lead Instructor

Joseph Ahrens has become a specialist in delivering the EMT-Basic program. He has taught the program for over 18 years in the Metroplex. Joseph has obtained a pass rate among the highest in the state.


Jim Stewart EKG Technician Program Director

Retired paramedic of 25 years.  For the last 20 years has taught at EMTS, Methodist Trauma Center, and Brookhaven College.  From 2012 through June 2020, Jim had been the EKG Technician program manager at Brookhaven College.  Jim has established a stress free learning environment for the EKG program.  In 2016 and 2017, Jim received the educator excellence award issued by National American University.
