Advanced Cardiac Life Support


Designed to provide the healthcare professional with comprehensive information to identify emergency cardiovascular care and protocols for a patient in cardiac arrest, post-resuscitative patient management, and core cases in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) according to current Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. Includes the ACLS approach to cardiovascular emergencies, elements of emergency cardiovascular care, ethical and legal issues, airway assessment and management, ventilation techniques, oxygen therapy, intravenous therapy, analyzing and interpreting the electrocardiogram (ECG), analyzing and interpreting the 12-lead ECG, myocardial ischemia, injury, and infarction, electrical interventions, cardiovascular pharmacology, acute coronary syndromes, emergency cardiovascular care algorithms, acute stroke and transient ischemic attack, and special resuscitation situations.

ACLS Initial $150

Foundation Lectures: MI (ACS), Stroke, BLS & ALS Survey, BLS, Airway, Team Management.

Protocol Review Stations: Bradycardia, Tachycardia, Pulseless

Putting it Together Skill Stations: Bradycardia, Tachycardia, Pulseless

Audience: Physicians, registered nurses, paramedics, certified registered nurse anesthetists, respiratory therapy technicians or any other allied healthcare professional which may be involved with code management. Those who are becoming ACLS certified for the first time or do not use ACLS skills routinely in their duties.

Registration Information and refund policy:
Seating is limited therefore pre-registration is required. By pre-registering this allows us to issue completion cards immediately upon conclusion of the course. EMTS accepts all major credit cards. Refund policy; more than 14 days notice refund minus $25, less than 14 days notice no refund but may reschedule once if contacted at least 5 days before course start time. No refund with less than 5 days notice or if the course is missed for any other reason. Fees do not represent income for the AHA.

ACLS Renewal $110

Course length in hours: 5

Foundation Lectures:  (All other lectures offer in 2 day are considered expected knowledge).  ACLS does not replace the need for a BLS card.  If you also need a BLS card we suggest that you complete the Online AHA BLS course (takes about an hour).  Call the office to document that you want to stay a few minutes longer after ACLS and do the BLS check off for $30.

Protocol Review Stations: None. (Expected knowledge)
