Emergency Medical Training Services has been involved in the education of EMS for nearly 25 years. We are proud to say that many of our graduates are successful EMS professionals and Fire Administrators, Nurses, Physicians Assistants, and Physicians today. The EMS curriculum and environment is an ever changing field. EMTS has continued to be a leader in education and provide high functioning members of the profession.
AEMT training program is offered as a shift based day and/or evening program designed to prepare participants in providing advanced life support skills to patients in a pre-hospital environment.
Participants will receive training in patient assessment, history and physical examination, medical emergency and trauma management, intravenous therapy, advanced pharmacology, advanced airway management, cardiology, obstetrical and gynecological emergencies and hazardous materials (Haz-Mat) management. (Approximately 360 didactic hours)
The Program will also include several advanced certifications including:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)
Basic Life Support (BLS for Health Care Provider)
Participants will complete approximately 80 hours of clinical experience, as well as 110 hours of field internships with recognized Fire Department and Private EMS organizations. The field internship experience will provide students the opportunity to learn multiple operational disciplines and work within multiple team focused environments.
